The Ultra is AlcoSense’s premium breathalyser, this is more than your personal breathalyser, the Ultra has been designed for professional use, like the Excel it features a fuel cell sensor, however this is larger and exactly the same as what several UK, EU & US Police use.
The drink drive limit can be selected from the built-in database featuring a list of worldwide limits, the Ultra also uses deep lung air and the readings are fine-tuned according to temperature. 128 results can be stored on the device with date and time stamps whilst the PC connectivity means the results can be downloaded and stored on the computer for record keeping.
The BlowCoach talks you through the steps with realtime feedback on screen, the aim is to keep the top pressure bar in the middle, and keep blowing until the bottom volume bar is full. If your performed reading was wrong the Ultra will actually tell you why it was wrong (blowing too softly for example) and provide tips on how to quickly correct it.
The Ultra’s tolerance is +0.07‰BAC, -0.00‰BAC, it has a full colour 1.8 inch (48mm) TFT screen which provides the same traffic light style results as the Excel. Unlike the Excel however the Ultra will calculate how long it may take until you’ll be sober, you can then set a reminder to re-test again later. The Ultra also has a backlit blow tube receptor and works with the “Pro” or “regular” blow tubes, you get a recalibration reminder at 11months, as well as the temperature alerts and saturation protection.
