DAFNI Allure Cordless Straightening Brush 4.5

There is a reason hairbrushes have a very similar shape and design, that’s because they have the optimal structure to get the job done, now look at hair straighteners, these involve a reasonable level of flexibility and a good amount of concentration so your ears don’t get burnt.

That’s why the DAFNI Allure makes such perfect sense, created by Sharon Rabi along with her father the idea was to create a heat dissipating brush for less damage to the hair, which has evolved over the years into the Cordless Straightening Brush. The Allure comes with the Straightening Brush, Thermal bag, safety cover, charging cable and plug, it is so simple to use, just switch it on at the bottom and it will emit a beep to let you know it’s beginning to heat up, another one when it is hot enough to use, this was taking about 90 seconds. You can get up to three heads worth of styling from one charge, this could be a little better but we believe it’s a small price to pay for not being tethered to the wall, there is also a handy four stage light indicator to let you know when the battery is running low. DAFNI claim the Allure offers eight times the surface of a flat iron, it is made up of guiding bristles around the outer edge with the ceramic bristles inside these having springy bristles on the end so the ceramic doesn’t come into contact with your skin.

To protect your hair from heat damage the Allure uses a lower temperature than most straighteners, heating up to 174˚C this is a non-adjustable level but due to the design it still straightened my hair just as well as my regular straighteners but at a much quicker rate. This is a little chunkier and heavier than your regular brush, but it is more than comfortable in the hand and easy to manoeuvre around the entire head, the reduced temperature might struggle on very coarse hair, mine is quite fine and it knocked out all the kinks in no time, a great choice for those looking for a speedy way to straighten the frizz.
