Anova Precision Cooker 4

Sous Vide is one of those things that once you try it is hard to go back, slow cooking in a bath of water locks in the moisture whilst ensuring an even cook throughout, preventing you from having to endure dry and tasteless chicken.

The Anova Precision Cooker now has improved connectivity, more power and water resistance, with a compact design, this simple tool helps you prepare meals with just the touch of a button. This is Anova’s mid-range precision cooker and comes with WiFi connection to allow for monitoring away from the cooker, constructed with an IPX7 water and splash resistant finish, the Precision Cooker is designed to be submerged in water in your cooking pot. It is then just a matter of adding your food in a vacuum packed bag, set the controls on the device or connect over the app and control the settings.

If using meat it is worth giving it a quick sear in a cast iron pan or on the grill for a perfectly crispy outer finish. The Precision Cooker clips onto the pan which holds securely throughout the cooking process, it heats up the water fast and holds it precisely at that temperature the entire time. The compact design (325mm high, 0.7 kg) means it can be tucked away in a drawer when not in use. It has a temperature accuracy of +/- 0.1˚C (0.2˚F) with a range between 0˚-92˚C (32˚-197˚F), there is a removeable splash skirt to help protect the cooker and works with a minimum water line of 65 mm and 153 mm max.

The Precision Cooker is so easy to use, if you haven’t attempted Sous Vide before it is a great place to start and the app connectivity makes things even more convenient, the downside is using plastic bags but there are plenty of reusable bags out there which are worth investing in to avoid single use waste.
