The Water2Pod 2.0 + Fluoride Filter Bundle is a practical and well thought out water filtration system that aims to make clean drinking water easier and more convenient at home. The setup consists of the main Water2Pod 2.0 unit and a replaceable fluoride filter, giving you a one stop solution for removing a wide range of contaminants while also tackling fluoride, which many standard carbon filters can miss.

The Water2Pod 2.0 feels robust and reassuringly solid, installation takes only a few minutes for most people, and you do not need any tools, which is a big plus if you want to get up and running straight away. Once in place you can switch between normal tap flow and filtered water with a smooth selector lever. You can also chose when to activate the Fluoride Filter, for example you probably won’t need filtered water to fill up a bucket to wash the car.

The main feature here is the dual filtration system. The standard filter in the Water2Pod 2.0 uses activated carbon and other materials to reduce microplastics, lead, chlorine, sediment, bad tastes and odours, while the included fluoride filter adds another layer of filtration specifically targeting fluoride, a compound many people prefer to reduce in their drinking water. Together they provide noticeably cleaner and fresher tasting water than unfiltered tap water, with a good balance between flow rate and thorough cleaning.

The filter life span is respectable, with each cartridge can last up to a year, this does however mean you will be paying £200 a year to replace both filters. However this can be a worthwhile investment for the taste alone thanks to the noticeably cleaner/fresher flavour. Changing filters is straightforward thanks to clear instructions and an intuitive twist off design.

It is worth noting the water flow can be reduced however we found it remained strong enough for everyday use, and the overall performance is consistent. One small drawback is that high levels of certain contaminants might require more frequent filter changes, but for most standard water supplies the bundle offers an effective solution.
