Stiga Automatic robot lawn mower A 6v
Home and Garden June 3, 2026
There is something deeply satisfying about looking out of the window, seeing freshly cut grass, and knowing you didn’t have to move a muscle to make it happen. The Stiga A 6 robot lawn mower is exactly what we should be using robots for, taking care of the chores so we can lazy about in the summer sun. It quietly wanders around the garden taking care of the mowing while you get on with more important tasks, such as enjoying a cup of tea and taking credit for the results.
Unlike some robot mowers, the A 6 does not require boundary wires. Instead, it uses GPS based navigation and virtual boundaries that can be set via the Stiga app. Designed for small gardens up to 600 square metres, the A 6 uses 4 pivoting blades that cut little and often, which keeps lawns looking consistently neat rather than tackling long grass in one session. You can set up to 10 zones and it cuts up to 145 m² per charge with its 2 Ah battery.
Navigation is straightforward, just like the robot vacuums the mower maps the garden, plans efficient cutting routes, and can handle slopes of up to 45 per cent. Obstacles such as trees, flower beds, and garden furniture are easily avoided without the random bumper car behaviour. It also features rain, tilt and lift sensors.
The cutting height can be adjusted between 20mm and 60mm, there are three cutting patterns to choose from Parallel stripes, Chessboard and Dense grid. The robot will perform daily mulching which will help keep your grass healthier and greener in just a few mowings. Of course, all this convenience comes at a price. The A 6 sits firmly in premium territory. A theft alert it purchasable via the app but at this price range it would be nice if it was automatically included.
For anyone tired of spending summer weekends pushing a mower around the garden, the Stiga A 6 offers a glimpse of a future where the lawn cuts itself and ticking off one of the garden chores for you. RRP £1199
