Our second offering from Soundpeats this issue offers a different kind of earbud. Where most of them slot in to your ear, these have a clip-on mechanic. The bud settles in to your ear (but not right in like normal earbuds) and the other end of the bud loops around your ear and presses in to the back of it, holding them in place. The buds are encased in skin-friendly silicone and have nickle-titanium memory wire running through their core so once fitted, they should slot back on comfortably every time you use them. The end result is a surprisingly comfortable fit that doesn’t need adjusting anywhere near as much as you might think. And because they’re not ‘in-ear’, you have more external environment awareness, ideal if you need to keep an ear out for things other than your music.

From a sound perspective, the buds are built with 12mm dual-magnet drivers and have dynamic EQ algorithms giving you deep bass and some nice clear high tones. To make sure you get the most out of the sound pumping through, these buds utilise a directional hole design that sends the soundwaves directly in to your ear canal, reducing sound loss despite the fact that you’ve not got them wedged in there, ideal for those that don’t like the idea of filling up your ear!

One handy thing with the Pearlclip Pro is the fact that neither of these buds are left or right orientated. You can plug either of them in either ear and they will automatically adjust depending on which ear they’re in so you can literally pull them out of their charging case and wear them with zero hassle. The charging case is good for 3 full re-charges and the buds have a runtime of about 6 hrs. Plus, they only need a quick 10 minute recharge to give you another 2 hours of sound. RRP £59.99
