It features a large 10 inch waterproof coil, so it is safe to use in wet grass, shallow streams, and damp soil without worrying about damage. The coil is submersible to one metre, although the control box itself is not waterproof, so it is best kept out of heavy rain. The detector is lightweight at around 1.2 kilograms and has an adjustable shaft that extends from roughly 72 to 140 centimetres.
