To begin with Dashcams recorded out of the front of your vehicle but, this wasn’t enough. Before long we had dashcams that recorded the back too. Sensible really when you consider the amount of accidents that happen from behind or the fact that criminals could just approach from the back of the car undetected. Now we have reached the next logical step and have a cam that covers all the interior too and with lighting!
It will come as no surprise given the name of this dashcam that the camera quality is 4K but this only covers the front and rear cameras, the interior is 1080p. To be fair, the interior isn’t usually full of speeding cars so 1080p is perfectly fine! Speaking of speeding cars, the front and rear cameras both automatically highlight and enhance road signs and number plates so that if you need to review the footage at a later date, all the necessary details will be instantly viewable. The cameras have 4G capability allowing you to download recordings quickly (40MB/s) using the 70mai app and there is also an ‘emergency recording’ function in case of a collision. The camera will automatically save 10 seconds before, the collision itself and 30 seconds after the collision in an emergency folder to prevent over-writing.
For when you drive at night, there is built-in ‘Night Owl’ vision that automatically kicks in when the light is low allowing the clarity to stay when it gets dark and there is also a ‘Lumi Vision’ mode that keeps an eye when you’re parked up at night with immediate notifications sent to you if there is an impact on your vehicle. There are a host of other features such as multi-language voice control, built in GPS, picture-in-picture view and a road story filter being a few of them. RRP £449.99
