The Wacaco Prestina is a compact manual coffee brewer built around a rather clever idea that the cup itself becomes the press. Simply add your ground coffee, pour in hot water, stir, leave it to brew, then press the chamber down over the cup. There is no electricity, no paper filters and very little faff. A reusable stainless-steel filter gives the coffee a fuller, richer texture, while the 240ml capacity is ideal for a proper single serving. Everything packs neatly together for travel, including the cup, scoop and stirrer. Simple, portable and refreshingly uncomplicated, it makes good coffee almost anywhere. RRP £26.90
