Purus Life E-Max Desk Height Adjustable (Glass Top)

I have always had trouble sitting still and the classic office desk set up have never worked for me. We have had an adjustable height desk for so long it’s hard to imagine working at a regular one. The Purus Life E Max Desk however is a much more stylish version than mine, with a glass top and options of white or black colouring.

The top is made from strong 5mm tempered glass, which feels solid and looks impressive. It is easy to clean but does show fingerprints quite quickly, so you might find yourself wiping it down more often if you prefer a neater workspace. The dual motor system lets you adjust the height smoothly between 74cm and 118cm, and it does so quietly. You can move between sitting and standing without any wobble.

It can handle up to 120kg, so there is plenty of room for your monitors, laptop, accessories, cats, whatever your set up entiles. The desk has some great tech features too, like a built-in wireless charger, USB A and USB C ports, and three programmable height settings so you can save your favourite positions. There is a safety feature that stops the desk if it bumps into something while moving and you can even set sit/stand reminders..

There is a slim drawer under the desk for keeping small things tidy and a cable tray to help manage wires. Assembly is straightforward, and most people can put it together in less than half an hour. The glass is whiteboard marker friendly which is super handy for noting down quick reminders or entertaining the toddler whilst I finish up for the day.

It is worth noting that the glass surface can scratch if you are not careful, and it is heavy, so setting it up might take two people. Other than that there wasn’t much we didn’t love and with all the health benefits you can gain from getting up from that office chair it’s a no brainer in our eyes.
Overall, the Purus Life E Max Desk is a brilliant choice if you want a smart, flexible workspace. It looks good, works smoothly, and has some thoughtful features that make everyday use easier and more enjoyable. RRP £449.99
