EPOMAKER CarbonX Mouse
Gaming and Computing December 7, 2025
As much as my mates like to argue with me it sometimes is right to blame your tools, a crumby gaming set up isn’t going to help you improve your KDR anytime soon. The Epomaker CarbonX Mouse is a very lightweight and performance focused gaming mouse that really could make the difference. It weighs in at just 50g it feels almost feather light in the hand. The carbon fibre shell keeps it strong and firm during the tense white knuckle moments whilst maintaining that easy and effortless movement you want for fast games.
Inside you will find a PAW3950 sensor which delivers a very wide DPI range from 400 up to 30,000. That gives you the freedom to choose slow and steady movement for aiming or very fast movement for action heavy games. The tracking is sharp and reliable with support for very high-speed movement and strong acceleration, so it keeps up even during fast flicks.
There are three connection modes, you can use USB C for a wired connection or go wireless through either 2.4GHz or Bluetooth. The 300 mAh battery is quite small which helps keep the weight down, but it still performs well in everyday use.
The polling rate can reach up to 8,000 Hz when you use 2.4GHz or USB C mode, which makes the mouse feel extremely responsive. Click latency is also very low (3.5ms when wired) which is ideal for competitive play. The browser based software is simple to use with options to reprogramme buttons, adjust DPI levels, change polling rate and record macros.
Comfort is generally good and the carbon fibre shell gives a quality feel, though the open shell design may feel slightly front heavy for some players. The lightweight build also means the battery life is not as long as larger mice.
Overall the Epomaker CarbonX Mouse is a fast, accurate and very agile gaming mouse that suits anyone who values speed and responsiveness above everything else. RRP £79.99
