Damp is deadly for homes but not always the easiest thing to get rid off. At best you have to put up with an unpleasant smell, at worse it can create life threatening mould and structural damage. A capable dehumidifier can make a remarkable difference, and TCP’s 30L model is more than up to the challenge.
Built for larger homes and demanding conditions, this unit can extract up to 30 litres of moisture every 24 hours (tested at 30°C and 80% relative humidity). That’s enough to tackle persistent condensation, speed up indoor laundry drying or keep mould at bay in bigger living spaces. Ithas been designed for rooms of up to 50m², making it a suitable for open plan areas as well as garages, utility rooms and basements.

It is super easy to use, the digital control panel allows you to set your preferred humidity level, while the intelligent humidistat automatically cycles the compressor on and off to maintain it. There’s also a dedicated Laundry Mode, which increases moisture extraction to help clothes dry more quickly without leaving radiators covered in damp pants.
The 4.7 litre water tank is easy to remove and includes an automatic shut off when full but if emptying tanks isn’t your idea of fun, a continuous drainage option is also available by connecting a hose, allowing the unit to run unattended in suitable locations.

The integrated castor wheels and carry handles make it easy to move about. The noise levels sit at around 46dB, so you’ll certainly hear it working, although it’s more of a steady background hum than an irritating drone.

There is an integrated timer, automatic defrost function and washable air filter along with Wi-Fi connectivity through the TCP Smart app that lets you monitor and adjust settings remotely. It also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant adds another layer of convenience, particularly if your hands are full of laundry.

It’s not the smallest piece of kit, and the compressor makes its presence known when running flat out.
