Navitel R250 Dual
Motors December 8, 2025
It could be the weather or the build up to xmas but lately I’ve been grateful to have my dash cam. I have lost a wing mirror due to an overly keen delivery van, had a scrape from a yummy mummy in her 4×4 AND a close encounter with Black Shuck (ok, it was a deer, but you never know in Norfolk).
The Navitel R250 Dual is a low-cost dash cam set up. It arrives with two cameras in the box, the main front unit and a smaller rear camera, so you can record what happens both ahead of you and behind you.
The front camera records in full HD at 30fps and uses a GC2053 sensor that is designed to cope well in darker conditions. The lens is made from four layers of glass and offers a wide 140-degree view of the road, which helps capture more detail at junctions and busy areas. The rear camera records in standard HD with a 100-degree view and does a reasonable job of keeping an eye on traffic behind your car.
On the front unit you get a small two-inch colour screen that lets you review recordings, adjust settings and check the view before you set off. The camera supports loop recording so it will continue to save footage without filling the memory card, and it includes a G sensor that locks clips automatically if a sudden movement or impact is detected.
Other helpful features include motion detection for use while parked, a built-in microphone for audio, and a small speaker for playback. Video files are saved to a micro-SD card of up to 64gb, and the dash cam is powered through a standard car charger. It comes with twelve months of free access to Navitel Navigator with maps for many European countries.
Overall, the Navitel R250 Dual delivers strong performance for the price. It is simple to use, records clear and reliable footage, and offers enough safety features to give everyday drivers peace of mind on the road. RRP £74.99
