Marshall Willen 2 4

Whether you’re out visiting friends, on a camping trip or just want to fill the air with your favourite tunes, a portable Bluetooth speaker is the way to go and you can’t go too far wrong with this little box from Marshall. Small enough to be carried with one hand, it boasts an impressive 88Db’s of sound at it’s max and the Bluetooth range is up to 100 meters over open ground giving you the ability to set it up way away from whatever you’re using to provide the tunes if you’re worried about potential damage or people tampering.

The Willen 2 is designed to be rugged and has an IP67 dust and water resistance rating and can survive up to 3 feet submersion in water for 30 minutes so you can rest assured a little rain isn’t going to ruin your music! It’s also surprisingly light for such a rugged device coming in at just 360 grams. The lightness certainly helps out when it comes to strapping this thing up using the built-in rubber strap on the back and you don’t have to worry about its own weight dislodging it, despite the impressive bass the larger frame helps to enhance.

The battery life is good at 17 hours when at full charge and the quick charge function gives you another 5 ½ hours for just 20 minutes charging. The connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.3 and is LE ready so future-proofed also and the app is available on iOS and Android. The speaker can remember up to 8 devices and connect to 2 simultaneously. You can also take phone calls with this speaker as it has a built-in microphone too which is a nice little feature. Just don’t be one of those people that takes personal calls on speaker and then moans at others for listening… RRP £99.99
