Kinderkraft Pushchair Prime 2 in 1 4

I worry about my sanity sometimes as I get far too excited about baby buggies, the little comforts on them and new fandangle ways of using them has become a hobby of mine now and the Kinderkraft Pushchair Prime 2 in 1 was no let down.

This package is a 2 in 1 travel system, it has a carry cot, suitable for new-born age and a seat for when they start becoming more curious. This can be configured in either a rear or forward- facing set up, it includes the adapters for a car seat, but the seat itself is not included in this kit.

One thing that amazed me was the 12 different positions I could adjust the base of the carry cot to, I wish I had this when my eldest was a new-born, as she suffered terribly with colic, and having her propped up would have prevented many screaming walks. The seat can be laid back as well for those lazy Sunday strolls, letting your little one have a peaceful nap. The hood is quite large creating a shady space for child quite well, although I have seen bigger (insert giggle), there is a ventilation window in both hoods for the cot and seat. I was also pleasantly surprised to see reflective strips all around the buggy which is a huge plus for evening walkers or low light excursions. The covers are all removable and washable which is always a good thing.

Safety wise, this is all systems go, the seat has the classic 5-point harness which is quite easy to use, but not too easy for little fingers to work out. The inflated wheels (pump included for top ups) with front and side shock absorbers make for a comfy ride on bumpy terrain. The front wheels are also lockable so, if your babies are anything like mine, it is really handy for rocking them back and forward to sleep without unintentionally ramming them into the closest sideboard or table. The foot brake is easily accessible for quick pitstops and safety on inclines.

The actual look of this buggy is very easy on the eye, the grey material and the adjustable faux leather handle look very sleek. The frame itself is made of aluminium which makes it noticeably light, the whole thing folds down effortlessly for storage in the boot of most cars. Finally, those trips to the supermarket are certainly doable with this buggy as the storage basket underneath is big enough for the everyday items and the narrow profile and smooth wheels makes it easy to navigate around the aisles. £149.95 On Sale (RRP £449.99)
