Vigitech Oyster3 Tracker

The Oyster3 Tracker from Vigitech is a self-contained, battery powered security tracker, ideal for non-powered assets such as trailers, caravans, boats and containers as well as for any vehicle, cars, vans, plant, machinery, diggers, telehandlers, tractors and dumpers. They have been configured to send location updates to the online tracking portal every 24 hours while stationary and will increase to once every half an hour while in motion. The Oyster3 is compact at just 106mm x 86mm x 35mm making it discrete when in place, it is easy to attach with two mounting tabs although there is the option of magnetic mount available with 150kg pull strength and the robust housing (IP67) and low profile keeps it well protected from damage.

It is powered by three AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries but there is an option to upgrade to LS14500 batteries for intensive use, the periodic updating approach adds an extra layer of security by making it immune to detection by GPS / gsm signal scanners. It can be configured by request, for example, can be set to update once a day at 9am or if it moves between midnight and 5am whilst the “Recovery Mode” can be activated through the tracking portal to put the unit into live tracking mode, to help find it in the event of a theft.

When selected with one of the tracking subscriptions (starting at £3.34 a month), the tracker comes pre-configured with the SIM card and batteries installed, ready to send tracking information to the Vigitech web-based tracking platform. You can receive alerts to let you know if the tracker has left pre-defined areas, speeding, fuel and maintenance events and much more, there is real time tracking and you can view all the trackers from a single web page, plotted on a map. Location history, trip, chart and summary reports can all be viewed on the web or mobile app, exported and downloaded an Excel file.
