It’s strange how eight hours in front of a screen can leave your eyes feeling as though they’ve completed a marathon. Add a few episodes of your favourite show, a late-night gaming session and an unhealthy amount of scrolling, and it’s hardly surprising when it feels like you haven’t blinked in hours. That’s exactly the problem GUNNAR is here to solve, and the Alienware Bermuda Triangle is one of their bolder attempts.

Designed in collaboration with Alienware, these gaming glasses don’t exactly try to blend into the background. The oversized wraparound shield lens and futuristic styling mean they wouldn’t look out of place in a sci-fi cockpit, but there’s plenty of function behind the form. The single panoramic lens provides an uninterrupted field of view, while the lightweight polymer frame weighs just 37.1g, making it comfortable enough for lengthy gaming marathons or full working days.

The adjustable nose pads help you get a secure fit, and that wide shield design offers generous peripheral coverage. The lenses are the main attraction here with GUNNAR’s patented lens technology being available in two tints, Amber, which filters 65% of blue light at 450nm and Clear at 35% for users who need greater colour accuracy. Every version block 100% of UV light, while the G Shield Plus coating adds anti reflective, smudge resistant and scratch resistant properties that help keep the view crisp throughout the day.

Dimensionally, the glasses feature a 140mm lens width, 55mm lens height, 136mm frame width and 125mm temples, giving them a broad fit that suits medium to larger faces particularly well. They also arrive with an exclusive Alienware microfibre cleaning cloth, padded storage pouch and a 12-month warranty.
The styling won’t appeal to everyone. These are glasses that make a statement rather than quietly disappearing on your face, and they’re available only as non-prescription models. They’re also a little pricier than many generic blue light glasses.

For gamers, creators and anyone clocking serious screen time, though, the Bermuda Triangle offers more than flashy aesthetics. Comfortable, well-engineered and backed by genuine optical expertise, they’re a convincing reminder that eye comfort deserves just as much attention as your keyboard, mouse or monitor.RRP £84.44
