The problem with producing your own online video content is giving a professional finish to whatever you have come up with and one of the main culprits stopping this from happening is the audio. The best way around this is not to rely on the microphones and pick up of your recording device but instead invest in some microphones with a receiver and you could do a lot worse than this handy little kit.
You get 2 transmitters and a receiver as well as the charging case and all the cables you’re likely to need! I particularly like the smaller, discrete microphones you can plug in to the transmitters. These are quite handy and help to give a far more professional look than if you just use the transmitter on its own – looks a little weird having a small box attached to your front, much better to clip it to your belt out of the way in my opinion. Although for those seeking a way to look a little different, maybe that would be right up your street! As for the charging case, it fits all 3 elements (2 transmitters and the receiver) and charges them all at once for convenience. The transmitters have about 10 hours-worth of battery time and the receiver 8 hours which should be plenty of time to get your content recorded.
The range is good at 100 metres and you can also set it up to record in stereo when needing to use both transmitters so that you can easily edit the audio in post-production. Speaking of which, all those cables you get mean it’s compatible with most devices, leaving you with nothing but options and we like those! They come in a choice of black or white and you also receive a couple of windbreaks to protect the audio outdoors. RRP £170
