Sassyspud Unisex Pigeon Poo T-Shirt

Some T shirts are there to quietly finish off an outfit. The Sassy Spud Pigeon Poo T Shirt is there to make people look twice and probably laugh. Sassy Spud starting as a one-woman-band in Ireland the brand known for its “aggressively cute” designs, mixing daft humour, animals and slightly unhinged slogans across T shirts, hoodies and accessories.

The design involves a cartoon pigeon, sat in a less than conventional pigeon way, running its mouth like it probably would if given the chance. It is stupid in a very deliberate way, and that is pretty much the appeal. If your wardrobe leans more towards odd little graphics than tasteful slogans, it fits right in.

The good news is that the joke has not been slapped onto a rubbish T shirt. It is made from 100% organic cotton, so it feels soft straight away and has that slightly more substantial feel you want from a tee you are actually going to wear regularly. The unisex shape is relaxed rather than fitted, and there are a decent number of colours to choose from if you green isn’t your colour.

Sassy Spud prints its clothing to order, which means less unnecessary stock sitting around, and the brand also makes a point of using ethical manufacturing (100% zero sweatshops) and biodegradable packaging. Theres an irony to attempting to be more environmentally conscious whilst having a bird through insults at you, but it is nice to know you are doing your bit.

The print itself is bold and clear, and the whole thing has enough personality to work with jeans, shorts or under an open shirt without needing much effort.

The price means it’s not a bargain basement novelty tee, but it isn’t reserved for elite either. Really, though, you are buying it because the design makes you laugh.
