Topo Classic Duffel

The Duffel bag is one of those “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” products used by the military, for travel, sports and leisure alike, the name is derived from the town Duffel, in Flanders, Belgium, where the thick duffel cloth used to make the bag originated in the 17th century (store that knowledge nugget away for future pub quizzes).

The Classic Duffel from Topo comes in four colour choices, Olive, Charcoal, Ballistic Black / Black Leather and Navy, we received the Olive as our sample, which is lined with coated nylon pack cloth on the inside. With a spacious interior the Classic Duffel offers a 44.5L capacity, there are interior zippered pockets available for easy access to smaller items.

The Duffel measures up at 24″w x 12″h x 12″d and is just 1.6lbs when empty, it packs down into a compact piece making it easy to store in a car, wardrobe or suitcase. Constructed from an ultra-durable 1000D Cordura it can withstand the rough and tumble from the daily commute or outdoor adventures, the all-natural leather details on the handle and lash tabs adds to the overall style as well as providing a comfortable and sturdy grip on the heavy-duty seatbelt strap handles.

The Classic Duffel is carry-on compliant and the removable shoulder strap makes it more comfortable to carry for longer periods of time and frees up your hands, the tough YKK zip provides access to the main compartment with distinctive red tags for quick location, the bright yellow lining makes it easier to locate items inside.
