I must confess me and my wife are massive Harry Potter fans so this review will have elements of bias from start to finish! I have always aired on the side of caution with LEGO as I love it and could see myself falling into a collectors trap very easily, this caution was thrown by the wayside last year when we started collecting all the new Harry Potter Sets from the minifigures to the huge Hogwarts Castle 71043 which has over 600 pieces. We are now both proud and embarrassed to say we have bought all the Harry Potter sets and our last purchase was the Knight bus 75957, this for me is my second favourite of all the sets only falling behind the Hogwarts castle. However when you look at the pricing The Knight Bus is £34.99 and the Hogwarts Castle is ten times as much at £349.99 this for me is the best value for money Harry Potter set out there.
So the set what do you get? Minifigure wise this set comes with three characters Harry potter himself sporting a light blue t shirt, dark blue jacket and dark tan trousers, Stan Shunpike whose details to the film look superb and Ernie Prang likewise. The Knight Bus itself is jampacked with detail and although the bus was slightly smaller then I thought It would be I think that makes the set all the more impressive (16cm height by 16cm length). The details of the bus are fantastic including the shrunken head, chandelier, sliding bed and Harry’s trunk. The bus is also easily accessible with a side door that opens up and the top deck can be lifted off. RRP £34.99
