For starters, they’ve redesigned the hook on the ear piece itself making for a tighter, more secure fit with less likelihood of the ear piece coming loose during use. The SNR has improved too, jumping from 27 to 36, giving you much more protection from external noise than the previous version and the maximum decibel output is capped at 82, keeping your delicate hearing safe. They’ve also increased the water and dust proof rating with this new set rocking in at IP67 so you can be content that they won’t get damaged with dust or moisture and can even go swimming in shallow depths for around half hour or so, just keep an eye on the time!
The Bluetooth has improved to 5.0 from 4.1, the battery life is now 16 hours (dependant on volume levels of course) rather than 10 and even the buttons on the controller are larger and more defined making for easier use. In fact, the only thing I found that hasn’t changed is the weight! Oh, and the choice of ear tips is still the same. The sound quality is fairly rounded with a decent bass and the noise cancellation still does what it needs to do, making these particularly useful if you’re working in a busy environment and don’t want to be wearing massive ear protectors. You could be doing a lot worse for this price! RRP £109.99
