Saramonic Blink 500 B2W 4.5

The Saramonic Blink 500 B2W is a straightforward system that allows you to link up two people with a wireless microphone system for video recorders, including DSLR, mirrorless and video cameras as well as mobile phones for a clear and detailed audio.

This compact system uses 2.4GHz dual-channel wireless microphone with Lavalier, the devices themselves are super small and discrete, they can be easily clipped onto a collar or in between buttons, its lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear. The clip on the receiver acts as a camera hot shoe making it easy to attach in a variety of ways, the two output cables are included, with TRS for cameras and TRRS for smartphones or tablets. The transmitter uses a built-in mic but you have the option of using the included SR-M1 professional Lavalier microphone. The two wireless transmitters and two Lavalier mics that come with the kit can get used in such a way that the mics can be put on two separate people with all the audio being received on the unit on your camera.

The operating range of these mics are up to 50mm with an audio level output of –60 dBV to -20dBV, the rechargeable battery lasts up to six hours. People will either love or hate the fact that the audio is automatically merged, great for those who don’t want to spend the time editing it together, this is great for those who want to record and post quickly. However, those who are more technically creative won’t like the fact that the two audio recordings cannot be edited independently from each other, reducing the editing possibilities. This small kit is ideal for creating videos on the go, just because you are miles away from a studio doesn’t mean you have to compromise on the sound quality or break the bank to get decent audio.
