Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2
Audio March 3, 2022

So, where to start with these bad boys? They may seem a little old in the market, having been released in 2020 but sometimes, newest isn’t always bestest! At least that’s what I tell people when I meet them… The sound quality is awesome! I can hear most things when playing most tracks, although if that guitar riff isn’t a solo it can get lost a little and you may just miss out on some of those characteristic twangs you’re used to on your favourite tracks. But the bass is solid and true and, on the whole, I can honestly say these are some of the best earbuds I have had the pleasure of listening through.
As for functionality – they work best when combined with the Sennheiser App off your mobile phone – get it before you open up the case, it makes life easier, trust me. The buds instantly start searching for a connection when they are removed from their case and they automatically connect quicker to devices with the App. This does mean that to get the most out of them, it’s best to get the App, use it to configure them how you want and then feel free to link them up to your laptop/console/Smart TV comfortable in the knowledge they should play how you want. They also have the standard noise-cancelling option, although this is something many earbuds have yet to get quite right – it also eats the battery up quicker when in use but, unless you’re on a busy commute and the buds aren’t fitting properly, it’s a worth-while trade-off in my opinion.
Finally, the battery life leaves a tiny bit to be desired at 4 hrs when all bells and whistles are going, but we’ll put that down to age – quality over quantity, right? RRP £279
