ZiiGaat Horizon 5

The ZiiGaat Horizon is the kind of IEM that doesn’t shout for attention with gimmicks or extreme tuning, it doesn’t need to, instead, it focuses on getting the basics right, and that’s what makes it so enjoyable to use.

The Horizon is made up of a single 10mm biodynamic driver, two custom ported Knowles 30262-163 balanced armature drivers and dual custom composite planar drivers. This construction builds a sound stage that is near perfect, that creates a balanced but engaging presentation. The bass has a satisfying punch and presence, but it doesn’t overwhelm everything else. It’s controlled enough to keep things tidy while still adding some fun, especially with electronic, pop, or hip‑hop tracks. The mids are where the Horizon really shines, vocals come through naturally and clearly, with a nice sense of body that makes voices and instruments feel lifelike rather than thin. Treble is clean and detailed without being sharp, so you can listen for long stretches without your ears getting tired.

These IEM’s Tribrid Configuration means that everything feels well layered and coherent. Nothing sticks out in an awkward way, and the overall tuning feels intentional rather than thrown together. There’s also a decent sense of space for an IEM, which helps busier tracks sound open instead of cramped.

Comfort is another strong point. The shells are ergonomically shaped and sit securely in the ear, and the come with three pairs of silicone ear tips (S/M/L), three pairs of transparent silicone ear tips and one pair of black foam ear tips to ensure you make that perfect seal. Passive isolation is solid enough for commuting or working in noisy environments. The interchangeable 2-pin 0.78mm connector cable feels sturdy and practical, and it’s nice knowing you can easily swap it out later if you want to upgrade.

Overall, the ZiiGaat Horizon feels like it was made by people who actually care about how music sounds day to day. It’s not trying to be flashy or overly “audiophile”, just genuinely good to listen to and that’s exactly what makes it easy to recommend. RRP £249
