SIP Protection is a brand that produces protective garments, created by the very people who work in the field, for over 25 years this company has been dressing chainsaw users for various working conditions helping to keep safe whilst working with this equipment.

The 1SNA is an Arborist chainsaw trouser (that’s tree surgeon to the layman) and combines features to provide everything needed to keep you safe at work. These trousers have integrated gaiters with a lace hook to fix them in place, there are ventilation zippers that have a low profile to ensure they do not get in your way when wearing a safety harness. These trousers use the Dyneema fibres for the protective lining, this clever material has chainsaw protective yarns that are up to 25% lighter than traditional chainsaw protection and help to maintain a natural movement.

The high performing Teflon finish render the TeXXion outer shell which repels both water and dirt ensuring you remain dryer for longer and preventing waterlogged clothing from weighing you down. The hard wearing Armortex Light (containing Kevlar) knee reinforcements assure an extremely high abrasion and tear resistance, increasing the lifespan of these trousers. These trousers come in three designs Grey Anthracite/Black, Red/Black and Khaki Green/Black and come in sizes XS – XXL, created with a regular fit.

The waist band is highly flexible with a stretch fit, which remains comfortable no matter what position you bend yourself into, the front fly has a zip closure – closing by hook and eye and press stud, there are two inset pockets with zip closure and patched thigh pockets with a flap that has retro-reflective piping. There is a handy patched smartphone pocket with waterproof lining on the right leg with splash proof zip closure, this means you can stay connected with your phone always within easy reach but protected from the elements.

The zippers on the back of the legs provide ventilation when needed, the waist has loops for a belt and loops for Velcro braces, the triple-needle stitching on the back seam to the inside leg keeps the trousers from tearing even with prolonged use. On the inside the Nylnet lining is made from 100% polyester and feels comfortable on the skin, the waterproof anti-wicking fabric keeps the wearer dry and warm whilst the elasticated gaiter with metal lace hook can be used to fix on to shoelaces.
