The Review Smiths

If you rely on hair appliances to create your style you shouldn’t have to worry about leaving them behind when you travel, the DAFNI Go combines DAFNI’s clever straightening brush technology in a compact travel friendly design.

The Go can offer up to six times the surface area of a flat iron, only slightly less than the original DAFNI, whilst the springy bristles allows you to get right to the scalp without the hot surface ever coming into contact with the skin. The DAFNI Go is used slightly differently to a regular hair brush in that it is used to brush the underside of the hair to begin with, starting at the nape of the neck go right to the roots and work it down the hair. Then work in sections throughout the head, once at the front of the hair take small sections at the hair line and place the DAFNI over the scalp to smooth over any fly-away hairs.

The 3D structure allows the ceramic bristles to be in contact with more of the hair for longer this means you can style your hair quickly with a more natural motion. The Go has a narrower brush head than the Original and comes with a compact thermal bag and thermal cover, it works at lower temperatures to protect your hair and prevent heat damage, however this does make it much harder to work on thicker or coarser hair, the heat is also nonadjustable.
If you are already a fan of the DAFNI Original or the Allure then getting yourself this little travel buddy is a no brainer, it didn’t take me much longer to get the same effect with the Go when compared to its bigger brother, the smaller design and that low heat means it is probably best suited for short to medium length hair with fine to medium thickness.
