Blurams Dome Lite 2 4

We have become a lot more comfortable in recent years about allow cameras into our lives, it used to just be grainy CCTV that captured our movement but with the rise of social media and cheaper cameras we have accepted them into our homes. The Blurams Dome Lite 2 offers 360 degree coverage and remote control via the app on your phone. The setup is super straightforward. It connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (note: it doesn’t support 5GHz), and the Blurams app guides you through the process step-by-step. It took me less than 10 minutes to get everything up and running.

The Dome Lite 2 offers both pan (355°) and tilt (95°) capabilities, you can control the camera angle remotely via the app, which is great for scanning the entire room without blind spots. The 2K resolution video quality is sharp, and the image stays clear even when zooming in digitally.

The 8 infrared LEDs beads with IR-cut filter provide decent night vision that kicks in automatically and gives a crisp black-and-white image in low light. There’s also motion and sound detection, which sends alerts straight to your phone. You can adjust the sensitivity, which helps avoid unnecessary notifications, triggered by your pets for example.

It supports both cloud storage and microSD cards (up to 128GB), the cloud service is optional, but it does offer AI features like human detection and facial recognition if you’re into that kind of thing. There is two-way audio so you can check in with family members, including the furry ones. The speaker and mic are clear enough for quick chats or warnings if needed, it’s not something I use a ton but, it’s good to have.

The 24-hour loop recording lets you check 24-hour video history. You can access more features including extended storage from $4.99 with the options of adding additional cameras to your plan. You can also link it up to Google Home or Alexa for hands free control. The build quality feels decent for the price point, and the camera itself has a clean, modern design, it is still quite obviously a camera, but it doesn’t look too out of place in a living room or office.

Overall, the Blurams Dome Lite 2 is a functional little camera that’s easy to use and comes in at a budget friendly price, there are optional extras with subscription but it’s completely usable without. It’s not going to replace a high-end security setup, but for general home monitoring, it’s a solid pick that does the job well. RRP $31.99
