The Dark Ops Pro DCL Nano is a dinky trail cam from Browning, it measures up at just 4.25″ x 3.5″ x 2″ which is impressive considering how much tech it has packed into its little body. It uses revolutionary Dual Camera Lens Technology that features a dedicated daytime lens for vibrant, crystal-clear photos under the sun and a separate low-light lens for clear, high-resolution imagery in complete darkness.

It has an ultra-fast 0.15-second trigger speed and a wide 54-degree viewing angle, its 100-foot invisible infrared flash keeps animals and intruders unaware of the camera whilst ensuring every detail is captured. The Illuma-Smart Technology will dynamically adjust the brightness, guaranteeing the perfect exposure in any lighting condition, the images are shot in 26MP and the video recording offers 4k imaging with sound.

The compact, rugged, and energy-efficient body is powered by 6 AA batteries however these are not included, neither is the SD card, they are available on the Browning website, but it will work with any high performing card up to a 512GB SDXC. The integrated 1.5-inch colour viewing screen allows you to select your setting preferences, you can also preview your images and videos without removing the device from the mount. The screen also gives you a preview of the viewing angle so you can check you have the precise set up for the area you want to shoot.

Other features include the adjustable flash range, Fast Motion, Power Save and Long Range, the 0.35 second picture recovery time, you can create timelapses with infrared-triggered images. The Dark Ops can shoot up to eight multi-shot images and up to eight rapid fire images, there are programmable picture delays from 1 seconds up to 60 minutes. There is the option of using the 12-Volt external power jack, it can be attached to a tripod via the ¼” -20 tripod socket or fixed with the all-steel adjustable tree mounting bracket. The images can be time stamped with the time, date, temperature, moon phase, barometric pressure and camera ID, it is also compatible with the Browning Buck Watch Timelapse Viewer Software.
