Kärcher K7 Comfort Premium

The Kärcher K7 Comfort Premium is very much the “right, let’s actually sort the patio out” end of the pressure washer market. With up to 180 bar of pressure and a water cooled motor, it is built for frequent, heavier jobs rather than the occasional rinse of a muddy bike. Kärcher rates it for cleaning around 60m² an hour, so large patios, walls, cars and garden furniture are all well within its comfort zone.

It comes with the 4 in 1 Multi Jet lance, this means instead of swapping nozzles every five minutes, you simply twist the head to move between a rotary jet, high pressure flat jet, reduced pressure flat jet and detergent setting. It is a small thing, but it makes bigger cleaning jobs feel much less faffy.

The Comfort!Hold trigger gun is another welcome touch. It is designed to reduce the pressure needed to keep the trigger pressed, which matters more than you might think when you have been cleaning your campervan after a particularly muddy weekend away.

There is a 10 metre PremiumFlex hose on an integrated reel, Quick Connect fittings, onboard accessory storage and a telescopic handle. The 2Way!Wash system gives you two ways to apply detergent, while Kärcher also includes a litre of universal cleaner to get you started.

At 18.8kg, this is not a lightweight machine, and the price puts it firmly in premium territory. It is also more pressure washer than many people need for a small garden or occasional car wash.
But if you regularly tackle stubborn dirt, large outdoor areas or multiple cleaning jobs, the K7 Comfort Premium makes a lot of sense. It is powerful, thoughtfully designed and much nicer to use than a machine that simply wins by adding more pressure to every job. RRP £419.99
