Volvik Range Finder V1

Volvik was established in 1998 and are known for their brightly coloured and decorated golf balls, now they have added colour to the rangefinder market to match.

The V1 comes in a range of colours including Red, Orange, Mint and the bright yellow version we received. The V1 comes with a lens cloth, wrist strap, small carabiner clip, protective hard case with clip closure and quick access elasticated strap. It features a high-quality viewer with 6x magnification and a multi-layer coating that provides a clear image. The measuring range is between 5 to 1300 yards, with the continuous measurement of 8 seconds, small movements with the hand won’t affect the results which are clearly displayed, accurate to within one yard or meter. You can use the V1 with glasses or sunglasses thanks to the large lens, the Slope Compensation feature will kick in when measuring distances over undulating ground whilst the Priority First Goal makes it feasible to measure the distance of the nearest hazard, be it bunker or tree.

The compact design measures up at 105mm x 72mm x 38mm and it weighs just 125g, it can be slipped into your pocket when not in use and if the weather takes a turn for the worst the IPX4 rating protect the range finder from water for at least 5minutes. The V1 is powered by a CR2 battery (not included), this device will automatically switch off after 10 seconds to conserve the energy and the battery life indicator lets you know when it’s running low. The Pin Finder function gives precise measurements of selected targets to ensure you have the correct distance and the vibration indicator lets you know when the measurement has been calculated. As a reasonable new kid on the block the V1 is good value for money, highly accurate and refreshingly uncomplicated to use, a good choice for those looking for a simple and reliable range finder.
