Telling people you collect Lego as an adult will provoke one of two reactions, either “why are you wasting money on toys at your age”, these people should be immediately cut from your life, you don’t need this kind of negativity OR “Awesome! me too, I have just bought..” (insert latest purchase here). One of the best things about Lego is how they listen to fans, of all ages, Lego Ideas is a website that, among other things, allows people to submit proposals for new Lego sets. This is how the Central Perk set came about. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Friends this 1070-piece set is suitable for ages 16+, it is packed with details of the café TV studio set guaranteed to trigger some serious “Oh My God” moments as you take a trip down nostalgia lane.

There are seven mini figures included, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Ross (who REALLY looks like Ross) and of course Gunther (someone needs to make the coffee and you know Rachel will only forget). You get to build the gangs favourite seating area with couch, armchair and two chairs which is removable for play reconstructions, there is even a stage where Phoebe can belt out Smelly Cat on her guitar. Other accessories include the brick-built coffee machine, cash register, cookie jar with two cookies, menu board element, umbrella stand with two umbrellas, window with ‘CENTRAL PERK’ logo decoration, entrance doors, brick-built TV studio light rigs with translucent light-style elements.
