Fanttik F2 Master Cordless Rotary Tool Kit

The Fanttik F2 Master is a small cordless rotary tool aimed at the fiddly jobs where a full-sized machine can feel like overkill. Engraving, polishing, sanding, model making, crafting and little repair jobs are much more its territory, and the slim body and light weight makes it easy to hold and control for long periods of time.

There are five speed settings to play with, ranging from 12,000 to 25,000rpm, so you can slow things down for more delicate work or turn it up when you need a bit more power. The brushless motor is also surprisingly quiet at 32dB, which is quieter than the average electric toothbrush.

Fanttik includes 35 accessories in the box, covering drilling, sanding, polishing, carving and grinding. That gives you plenty to get started with straight away, and the built-in light is genuinely useful when you are working on something small and trying to see exactly where the tool is touching. Swapping bits is simple thanks to the shaft lock, and the aluminium storage case keeps everything from disappearing into a drawer.

Power comes from a 700mAh rechargeable battery with USB C charging. You get about 1hour depending on your settings which is fine for the kind of short, detailed jobs the F2 Master is designed for, but this is not a tool for spending an afternoon cutting through thick material. It takes about an hour to fully charge and cannot be used whilst charging.

It also uses a 2.3mm collet, so standard 1/8 inch rotary tool accessories will not fit. That is worth knowing before you start buying extra bits.
