MOVA P50 Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum 4.5

I was so excited when I first saw a robot vacuum, it felt like the future was finally here. As there years have gone by, they have become smarter and more powerful and a genuinely useful appliance. The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum is very much positioned as an all in one, hands off cleaning system, with both vacuum and mopping capabilities.

You get up to 19,000Pa suction, which is more than enough for everyday dirt, dust, and pet hair, plus a dual spinning mop system that can scrub hard floors while the vacuum runs. The fully automated dock, is where it can empty the dustbin, refill water, and even wash and dry the mop pads using hot water, which means you rarely need to get involved.

Once it maps your home using a mix of LiDAR and camera-based navigation, it can clean room by room with very little input. The FlexRech is essentially an extendable side brush reaches out like a little arm to get right into corners and along edges, which is something cheaper robot vacuums often miss.

What we really like is how “set and forget” it feels. The dock can handle maintenance for weeks at a time, and the app gives you loads of control over schedules, zones, and cleaning strength. It is especially useful in busy households or homes with pets, where keeping on top of daily mess can be a chore and quickly become overwhelming. To ensure hair doesn’t tangle up the brush the anti-tangle CleanChop feature is included, this prevents the vacuum from clogging, and you don’t have to deal with entanglement yourself.

The automatic mop detachment feature will lift the mop heads away from low pile carpets and remove them completely for higher pile, ensuring your carpets stay dry. You can choose between Carpet Avoidance Mode and Carpet Boost Mode to revive or deep clean your carpets. There are 32 mop moisture settings, so tiles get enough water whilst wooden floors are protected from over saturation. Other features include the 75℃ (167°F) mop washing, hot air mop drying, 3.2L dust bag in the dock, voice control, LED light and the ability to climb over 22mm obstacles.

While suction is strong on paper, deeper carpet cleaning can be a bit inconsistent and obstacle avoidance is not always flawless. The dock is also quite large, so you need space for it, and like many smart devices, the app can occasionally feel a bit laggy.

Overall, the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra is a powerful and feature packed robot vacuum that leans heavily into automation. It is not cheap, but for people who want minimal effort cleaning, it comes impressively close to doing everything for you. RRP £699
